Impact & Results

The new deal management application, My Deals, significantly enhanced user productivity by 80% and doubled user satisfaction. It maintained legal and compliance standards essential for managing Intel’s direct pricing, which impacts billions in annual revenue. The case study demonstrated that the redesigned process saved approximately 2.5 person-weeks per year in creation time, highlighting the efficiency gains achieved.

Problem Statement

The existing deal management system was outdated, cumbersome, and posed compliance risks, with previous attempts to develop a new solution failing three times. There was a critical need for a user-friendly application that could enhance productivity, improve user satisfaction, and meet strict legal and compliance standards required by Intel’s pricing operations. The challenge was to create an effective solution that addressed these needs while streamlining the overall user experience.

Process & Approach

I led and coached cross-geo agile teams, business stakeholders, and users through Lean UX activities, including design pathfinding sessions, Google Design Sprints, and user insights gathering. I facilitated workshops and conducted interviews, leading to the creation of key artifacts like Work Model Maps and personas. This iterative approach, including real-time prototyping and user testing, resulted in the successful launch of My Deals. The application’s design and development were guided by user feedback and compliance requirements, ensuring a user-friendly and legally compliant solution.
